Our Slickline Assistants perform entry level duties under direct supervision that mainly consists of servicing and maintaining mechanically operated downhole tools and equipment. The Slickline Assistant will travel to lease locations throughout the Province with self contained equipment to serve client needs.

The Position:
As the Slickline Assistant, you will be working in a team environment under direct supervision of the Slickline Supervisor. You will assist with pre-job preparation and the set up and rig out of Slickline equipment. Some of key tasks include;

 Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle daily log books, & pre – post trip documentation
 Complete all required TDG documentation as required
 Prepare, check, and load tools and equipment as required with Supervisor guidance
 Clean and perform simple maintenance on tools and trucks for upcoming jobs
 Assist the Supervisor in spotting the Unit, watching for hazards (Lines, guide wires, testers), identify wind direction
 Demonstrate understanding and correct use of tools and equipment pertaining to wireline operations
 Demonstrate buffing and servicing of standard tools e.g. pulling tools


The Candidate:

 Posses a valid Class 3 Driver’s License
 Possess required safety tickets (Alberta or B.C. First Aid, H2S Alive, PST/CSTS)
 Wellhead boom truck apprenticeship an asset
